Transparency Emission estimates must be documented and verifiable.

The Ndevr Greenhouse Emissions Reporting solution captures the consumption - or volume of energy/ gas/ fuel/ water etc directly from the invoice, and the information is processed at the same time as the transactional information on the invoice (either by a manual operator or electronically). Because usage is directly attributable to an invoice, the data is able to be audited.

The invoice and consumption information information is part of the corporation’s base financial system and cannot be changed.

Comparability Emission estimates using a particular method and produced by a registered corporation in an industry sector must be comparable with emission estimates produced by similar corporations in that industry sector using the same method and consistent with the emission estimates published by the Department of Climate Change in the National Greenhouse Accounts.

Ndevr's Greenhouse Emissions Reporting solution uses the Department of Climate Change' emissions factors, while recording data by industry sector code (ANZSIC) - being able to easily access information relating to emissions by standard industry code through the NGER dashboard enables swift comparability against the DOCC National Greenhouse Accounts.

Accuracy Having regard to the availability of reasonable resources by a registered corporation and the requirements of the Determination, uncertainties in emission estimates must be minimised and any estimates must neither be over nor under estimates of the true values at a 95 per cent confidence level.

"...the uncertainty of emissions estimates is to be assessed in accordance with the GHG Protocol guidance on uncertainty assessment in GHG inventories and calculating statistical parameter uncertainty (September 2003) v1.0 (the protocol) issued by the World Resources Institute and the World Business Council on Sustainable Development" (National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (Measurement) Determination 2008 - Section 8.3(1).)

Ndevr's Greenhouse Emissions Reporting Solution Uses invoice data - one of the preferred methods as outlined in the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (Measurement) Technical Guidelines 2008 - default emission factors, and standard JDE functionality, ensures accuracy.

Completeness All identifiable emission sources within the energy, industrial process and waste sectors as identified by the National Inventory Report must be accounted for.

The Ndevr Greenhouse Emissions Reporting solution ensures that an invoice cannot be processed without having first captured usage/ consumption information. This ensures that all data relating to a corporations' identitified emissions sources (that can be measured by billing, invoicing or purchase orders) is captured.
